Scope of DOE Activities

DOE's efforts at the Kalinin nuclear power plant focus primarily on improving the safety of day-to-day operations at the plant. DOE projects include improving the training of plant management and staff (1994--ongoing), and providing a full-scope plant simulator to enhance effectiveness of training (1995--ongoing).
